Vision...one of our most precious senses. Unexplainable to those without it; irreplaceable to those who have it. Protecting the gift of sight is one of Delta Gamma's highest priorities. Since 1936, Delta Gamma's philanthropic purpose has been to stop blindness before it starts. For men and women for whom blindness is a fact, the mission has been to impact the quality of their lives in a myriad of positive ways.
The Delta Gamma Foundation offers all members lifetime enrichment through educational growth, personal development and opportunities for philanthropic service in the highest spirit of social responsibility. The Foundation areas of emphasis are Scholarship, Fellowships and Loans, Leadership and Educational Programming, Anchor Grants for members in crisis, and Service for Sight. Foundation Grants support Delta Gamma pre-schools and organizations that promote sight preservation and enhance the lives of children and adults who are blind or visually impaired.
Zeta Nu holds Anchor Splash each fall to raise money for the foundation. During this event, Greek and other campus organizations participate in various swimming contest. Throughout the year women volunteer for the Golden Anchor program, educate elementary students about eye safety, and participate in other Greek Organizations event's.
